Welcome to Slovenia and Chad

After examination of the Statutes two federations have been accepted as a member of UNICA, representing the non professional filmmakers in their respective countries.

These countries are:

• Slovenia
• Chad

The UNICA Committee is glad that after Croatia, Macedonia and Bosnia & Hercegovina the former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia has joined UNICA.
Unfortunately the Committee had to decide to give "Yugoslavia" (read: Serbia) the status of "corresponding member".

The UNICA Committee bids a warm welcome to Chad and it hopes that the members of this country will actively participate in the UNICA competitions.
It might take over the francophone African interests from Senegal which has regrettably been shifted to the category of "corresponding members".

The third country which has been given the status of "corresponding member" is Bulgaria
